Grapefruit essential oil is a lymphatic stimulant and helps to get rid of cellulite

Grapefruit oil is extracted from Citrus Grandis / paradisi (a.k.a. Citrus racemosa and C. maxima var. racemosa) from the Rutaceae family and is also known as shaddock.

Grapefruit essential oil has a sharp refreshing smell and is pale yellow in color. The viscosity is watery. Like all citrus oils, grapefruit oil should be used within six month of purchase.

The main chemical components are: paradisiol, limonene, gamma terpinene, nootketone, cadinene, neral and citronellal.

Some of the therapeutic properties of Grapefruit oil are: anti-depressant, antiseptic, aperitif, diuretic, disinfectant, and lymphatic stimulant, tonic and anti-infectious.

It has an effect on obesity; its diuretic properties help with water retention and cellulite and are also used in muscle fatigue and stiffness.

Citrus grandis (Grapefruit) peel oil is the volatile oil obtained from the peel of the grapefruit, Citrus grandis.
